The Financial Crisis
Lord we live in disturbing days accross the world; prices
rise, debts increase, banks collapse, jobs are lost and a fragile security is threatened.
Loving God - meet us in our fear and hear our prayer. Be a tower of strength
amidst the shifting sands and a light in the darkness. Help us receive your gift of peace and fix our hearts where true joys
are to be found.
Church Finances
The increase in the electricity bill of some 150%, more hours in the centre to cover the gap
left by Martin, increases in our contributions to the diocese and the need for a new sound system will have implications for
the finances of our church in 2009. Help us Lord to be good stewards of your money, to focus on you, and
continue to build your kingdom through mission.
Personal Finances
Lord, We ask your guidance as we work out a household budget.
To give generously where we can, knowing all that we have is yours. Help us learn to let no debt remain outstanding, except
the debt to love one another.
