On Sunday 14th September Mick Flynn, the owner of the famous motorbike shop on Langsett Road was killed instantly in a bike accident in Lincoln. He was only 48. There have been tributes left at his shop opposite our church and we set up a book of condolences at the Hillsborough hotel next door.

The funeral was held the following Wednesday. People gathered outside the shop from all over Yorkshire.

We pray for the family and friends of Mick at this sad time. Lord, surround them with your love.

When the hurse set off all 500 bikes started their engines and reved like mad. The sound just went through you and you felt the love that there was for Mick. The roads were closed and at Sacred Heart he was given a tribute, a church full of bikers. God bless his family and friends as they deal with the loss of Mick.
